A National Level TechFest

RULES FOR: Techno-Start (Start-Up)

  • 1) Submissions may be entered by individuals or teams (maximum 3 members).
  • 2) Each team may enter only one idea.
  • 3) A single individual cannot be a member of more than one team.
  • 4) The contestant/team has to present their start-up idea through PPT presentation.
  • 5) Maximum time for presentation will be 8 minutes per idea.
  • 6) Entries must be the original work of entrants.
  • 7) Teams must disclose any funding already received at the time of registration if any.
  • 8) The Judging Panel reserves the right to disqualify any entry.

Intellectual Property Rights

  1. The contestants understand and agree that the Organizer, anyone acting on behalf of the Organizer, and the Organizer’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, the contestants’ entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
  2. By submitting his/her application, any contestants represents and warrants that the content of the application is an original work of authorship, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If an entry of any contestants infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, he/she will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
  3. If the content of the entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, the contestants shall, at his/her sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. The contestants shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liabilities, loss, damage, costs or expenses, which the Organizer may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
  4. Contestants are fully responsible at all time for the protection of their intellectual property within the framework within their participation in the Contest.
